tangled feet are always happy to discuss ways to specially adapt the show
for any given circumstance (see examples below).
Exeter's Northcott Theatre has difficulty maintaining a presence in Exeter city centre, as it is a 30 min walk out of the centre. In 2009, Home was performed during the afternoon in Exeter's high street and historic quay, drawing large audiences. It was also performed later that evening at the theatre as a ticketed performance, for which audience were met in three separate groups in three places in the city centre, and taken on different journeys to the theatre by characters from ‘Home’, on foot and on public transport. The performances on the journeys were all brought together by the performance of the full show in the theatre. In total, over 1000 people saw Home in Exeter, raising the profile of the theatre in the city centre.
tangled feet regularly share their methodology with young people and community groups through workshops. We have delivered a number of workshops, creatively exploring the theme of Home, alongside the public performances of the show. We are happy to discuss working with groups of any ages. Previous projects have lasted from 2 hours to a week-long intensive residency.
Example: Residency at Thomas Tallis Secondary School, London
Tangled Feet were commissioned by students at the school and became resident
company for a week. They worked with a body of students from Yr 7 to Yr 13,
creating an extended company to explore the themes of 'home'. The week culminated
in an innovative site responsive performance for other students of the group's
new work, and a performance of Home for the whole school in the school playground.

“I really didn't want this week to end. I personally think I learned much
more than could of been anticipated and only wish this had happened sooner
in Tallis. It was challenging and hard work the whole week but just as rewarding.
I think everyone involved would agree it was a great thing to happen in the
school and should create a window for more people to want to do similar things.”
